Privacy policy
Effective September 9, 2026
The short version
Wandermath is a trip-planning calculator. It stores the trip details you type in so it can build plans for you, uses standard analytics to understand how the site is used, and never asks for — or wants — your payment details, passwords, or identity documents.
What we collect
- Trip inputs you provide: budget, date ranges, trip lengths, traveler counts, preferences, and the departure city or address you enter for airport lookup. These are stored in our database so your requests, optimization runs, and plans can be generated and shown back to you.
- Standard technical logs: like nearly every website, our hosting infrastructure (Vercel) records requests — IP address, browser type, pages requested — for security and debugging.
- Analytics: we use Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage (which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from). We do not use this to identify you personally.
What we never collect
- No accounts or passwords — there is nothing to sign up for.
- No payment information — Wandermath never books or sells travel, so it never asks for a card.
- No passport numbers, birth dates, or identity documents.
Where your inputs go
- Our database (hosted on Supabase) stores trip requests, generated plans, and cached travel data.
- Travel-data services receive the minimum needed to answer a search: the city text you enter goes to a geocoding service (Open-Meteo) to find coordinates; route, date, and traveler-count parameters go to flight, lodging, weather, and event data providers to price your trip. Your name is never part of these queries — Wandermath doesn’t know it.
- Partner sites you click through to (airlines, booking sites): outbound links carry the trip parameters you can see in the URL and, where labeled, an affiliate tag. Once you leave Wandermath, the partner’s own privacy policy applies.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone except as described above to operate the service.
Affiliate disclosure
Some outbound links are affiliate links — if you book after clicking one, Wandermath may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are marked with a disclosure wherever they appear.
Cookies
Wandermath itself works without cookies. The analytics described above set Google’s standard cookies; you can block them with your browser’s settings or any content blocker and the site will work exactly the same.
Removal and questions
Want a trip request you created removed, or have any question about this policy? Contact the site owner through the repository or channels listed on the About page and we’ll sort it out. As the product grows, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will change.
